Jacob (The Island)
was infected by a virus (black rock, center of the island, center of the body).
his immune system (the hostiles)
started fighting off the virus.
they (immune system/hostiles)
were able to disable the boat (virus)
but couldn't kill the infection (smokey)
after years of keeping the infection (smokey) in check
the (immune system/hostiles) got weaker and
the virus(smokey) got stronger and began to spread (black smoke roaming around)
Jacob got sicker when his immune system got weaker.
He went to see a doctor. The doctor started Jacob on a treatment/medicine. (Dharma).
The hostiles (immune system) saw Dharma as a threat to the island (Jacob) They couldn't see that Dharma may be able to cure the island (Jacob)
The Doctors did experiments to see what would cure Jacob (The Dharma Initiative)
The hostiles (immune system) didn't recognize that the medicine/treatment (Dharma) as good and annihilated them (the purge)
The Doctors wanted the treatment/medicine to multiply so it could be stronger to fight the virus/disease (smokey)but they failed (the others not being able to have children)
The Doctors try to figure out why the goods cells aren't multiplying (Juliet)
The doctors inject stem cells (Aaron)
So far Smokey cant get to the Others because of the fence (treatment) is blocking it.
Jacob gets sicker, maybe he is in a coma.
He can hear voices,murmurings (the whispers)
The Doctors try another approach. They inject stronger medicine (the Losties) in hopes that they will be able to kill the virus (Smokey)
Locke and Rose were healed when the came to the island. Maybe they were cells that were medically enhanced to fight the infection.
The Losties are stronger or have special traits. They all can fight. They are there because Dharma failed.
The Losties see Smokey and also White flashes (maybe a MRI, Xray or Radiation treatment)
When they pushed the button it was allowing the island (Jacob) to accept one of the treatments or maybe
nourishment. When they stopped pushing the button Jacob went into cardiac arrest. But the doctors saved him from dying.
The Doctors try a new treatment where they try and trick the immune system (hostiles) into thinking that the medicine is part of the immune system and belongs with the immune system (Ben).
Soon the medicine (Ben) takes control of the immune system (hostiles)
He (Ben ) tries to cure Jacob.
The hostiles (immune system) begin to realize that Ben isnt what they thought because he isnt curing Jacob. They look in another direction for someone to take charge or another approach to cure Jacob. They are willing to try a spiritual approach (Locke)
Jacob's hut (Jacob's mind) is dark and not in his control. He barely has access to it . The picture of the dog may be his pet dog.
Ben is in control of Jacob's mind/hut . He thinks it is for his own good. He wants to keep him locked up to reserve his strength while he tries to cure him.Jacob says "Help me " to Locke. When he talks to Locke he may be praying to God and Locke being "a man of faith" can hear him.
Jack wants to get the Losties off the island. (Jacob)
Ben tells Jack that they (Hostiles) are they "Good guys" (the cure for Jacob) and that the intruders/ people on Naomi's boat are the bad guys (a fatal secondary infection?) and if he makes the call he will kill everyone on the island.
Jack leaves the island without doing what he was sent there to do (cure Jacob, kill the virus/Smokey) and wants to go back.
